Veronica Setaro<\/strong> started at Norex as a product coordinator in July, as a parental leave substitute. She is responsible for product data management and maintenance. “My job is to ensure the accuracy of product data and that the information is up to date in different systems,” she explains. “In addition, my role also includes sending samples and communicating product changes to various stakeholders. The role is versatile and every day I get to learn new things about alcohol import processes.” <\/p>\n\n

As a former restaurant industry professional and bartender, Veronica knows the secrets of the alcohol trade. She has worked in various roles both on land and at sea. At some point along the way, however, Veronica decided to develop her expertise by studying industrial engineering and management. The new career path has offered interesting new roles and after graduation, it led her to work at Wihuri’s logistics center as a production planner. There, her days were filled with managing warehouse processes. <\/p>\n\n

Yet something kept smoldering. <\/p>\n\n

The culture of the wine world is fascinating<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

“Wines and alcoholic beverages in general have always been a fascinating subject for me. I’ve had the opportunity to explore their captivating world,” Veronica reflects on her reasons for returning to the industry. “Norex interested me as a company, as I knew it was one of Finland’s largest alcohol importers and would offer a great vantage point into import processes. In addition, I sensed that this small family business has a warm and friendly working atmosphere.” <\/p>\n\n

“What fascinates me about the industry is how wines are produced and what other culture is connected to wines. Wine production has a long and interesting history and it continues to evolve. Food and wine are close to my heart and part of my cultural heritage,” Veronica says. She doesn’t need long to think about her favorite wine. “Piedmont wines. As for drinks, my favorite is an old classic, Negroni, which never disappoints,” Veronica laughs. <\/p>\n\n
