At the time, Henrik L\u00f6nnberg was CEO, with Tomas as Marika\u2019s close work partner. \u201cIt\u2019s been wonderful to see how much the company has developed and changed \u2013 and yet it\u2019s still just as nice to work here, even after all these years.\u201d   <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In her employer, Marika values courage. \u201cHere, we take risks in a healthy way and look at new options \u2013 and through them we develop. The staff also have this feeling that we\u2019re needed and that we do things together.\u201d <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Marika moved to Norex from Alko, where she worked in purchasing. \u201cMy father, who had a 40-year career at Alko, got me a summer job at the head office back in the day. Since then, I haven\u2019t done anything but work in the alcohol industry. A family legacy,\u201d laughs the second-generation Alko professional.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At Norex, Marika works 99% with spirits. \u201cThat part of the alcohol industry differs from wines, because, among other things, the laws related to marketing have very different restrictions,\u201d Marika compares spirits with the company\u2019s other product group. Finland\u2019s regulated alcohol policy divides opinions, and Marika also has her own view on it. \u201cI\u2019m a bureaucrat at heart and I like the current way of operating. The world will change and this situation will change too, but I don\u2019t think it needs to be rushed.\u201d    <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In her work, Marika handles major accounts, such as Disaronno\u2019s producer Illva Saronno, Negrita\u2019s Bardinet, and Ferrand, known for its Plantation rums. \u201cBut everyday life is still very everyday,\u201d she chuckles. \u201cEveryone\u2019s work has changed because of Covid \u2013 for better and for worse. In the office, I keep the paperwork going that keeps alcohol moving: product management, pricing, budgeting. All the background work that hopefully supports the sales team\u2019s work.\u201d   <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to Marika, it\u2019s important in her work to focus on service. \u201cWith our selection, we aim to serve our restaurant-industry customers and their end consumers.
