Spring is here, and so are Riesling Weeks 2022<\/a><\/strong>. Riesling Weeks are celebrated in restaurants across Finland, and you can browse participating restaurants by city here<\/a><\/strong>. The weeks focus especially on German Rieslings. The theme weeks are organized by German Wine Information. <\/p>\n\n

Riesling has established itself as one of the most beloved white wine grapes, producing wonderfully fresh and beautifully acidic wines. Riesling styles are diverse across wine regions and countries, and their sweetness levels range from dry to off-dry and sweet, even to dessert wines. In addition to these, Riesling is also used as a sparkling wine grape. <\/p>\n\n

Riesling can rightly be called a versatile grape, offering something for everyone, whether you’re a fan of sweet or dry wines. Rieslings also have plenty of places at the dinner table. For example, dry Rieslings pair well with fish and white meat, while sweeter ones work with spicier dishes. What can’t Riesling do! <\/p>\n\n

This organic wine is truly elegant. Rheingau is one of the world’s most renowned wine regions, and its wine is at its best among Germany’s finest. Rheingau Riesling is indeed one of the world’s great wine classics, and a producer like Barth is an additional guarantee of quality. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Barth’s grapes are grown biodynamically, and the estate belongs to both the VDP organization of Germany’s best estates and the Charta association. In addition to Riesling, Barth is a leading producer of traditional German sparkling wine, Sekt. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Weingut Winter Kalkstein Riesling showcases the uniqueness of Dittelsheim beautifully, where juiciness and minerality meet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Weingut Winter Kalkstein Riesling’s carefully selected grapes grow in very calcareous soil around Dittelsheim. The vineyards have either Premier Cru (Erstes Gew\u00e4chs) or Grand Cru (Grosses Gew\u00e4chs) classification. Skin contact before fermentation gives the wine additional dimensions. Alcoholic fermentation is done with natural yeasts from the grape skins and takes place in stainless steel tanks, where the wine is also aged. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Weingut Winter Kalkstein Riesling’s intensely mineral aroma offers white flowers, ripe citrus, and jasmine tea. The taste is dry, subtly citrusy, crisply acidic, refined, balanced, and long-lasting. A quality and crisp choice to serve with classic cuisine dishes, fish, and shellfish. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stefan Winter brought his family’s wine estate in the village of Dittelsheim Hessloch to the wine world’s attention and recognition in Rheinhessen, Germany. He sought experience and understanding under the tutelage of renowned figures, and put his talents to use as a winemaker at just 20 years old in 2000, continuing the family’s cultivation traditions dating back to the 1600s. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
