The name “La Renacida” means reborn, and behind the name lies the story of producer Finca Museum. <\/p>\n\n
Finca Museum was born when Grupo Bar\u00f3n de Ley expanded its cultivation beyond Rioja. After a long search, the Cigales region was found, where high quality can be produced at a reasonable price. In 2015, Finca Museum acquired a plot of just under three hectares, whose vines had been planted as early as 1927. The abandoned vineyard was covered in weeds, and its restoration required two years of work. The locals couldn’t believe their eyes, and the vineyard was named La Renacida, reborn. <\/p>\n\n
Harvesting begins in the vineyard according to the white grapes rather than following Tempranillo’s tannins, resulting in a truly fresh wine. The vineyard is located 798 meters above sea level. <\/p>\n\n
Finca Museum’s 185 hectares of vineyards are stunningly rocky terrain, where aged vines grow sparsely. The estate also controls 60 hectares of contract cultivation. High in the interior, winters are cold and summers hot, and day and night temperatures can vary by 20\u00b0C. These conditions ensure good acidity for the Tinta del Pais grape, which is the local name for Tempranillo. <\/p>\n\n
The stones in the vineyards retain heat during the day and reflect light onto the vines. At night, they moderate the sharp temperature fluctuations. The conditions are excellent for producing quality, and everything necessary is done both in the vineyard and in the cellar. Cutting-edge technology, hand harvesting, and skilled enologists create exhibition-worthy wines, which are given sufficient time to develop in barrels and bottles. <\/p>\n\n
