Sometimes there is a need to create entirely new quality classifications, such as Prosecco Ros\u00e9 DOC, which saw the light of day in 2020.<\/em><\/strong> <\/p>\n\n

In Europe, wine legislation is strict, and regional quality classifications can define very precisely the permitted practices both in the vineyards and in the cellars. In many regions, to obtain a quality classification, regulations must be followed regarding vine planting density, wine aging times, and permitted grape varieties. <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n

As with regular Prosecco sparkling wines, the main grape variety must still be Glera. The ros\u00e9 version can be made using 10-15% Pinot Noir variety. <\/p>\n\n

In Italy, the category received approval as early as spring 2020, and EU authorities also gave the final required approval stamp for the classification at the end of the year. Several producers immediately began enthusiastically making Prosecco in ros\u00e9 as well. From the 2019 vintage, availability was still relatively small, but from the 2020 harvest, production was increased in anticipation of high demand. <\/p>\n\n

Ros\u00e9 adds more dimensions to prosecco, and in addition to celebrations, prosecco will now be seen even more often at the dinner table. Soligo Prosecco Ros\u00e9<\/h2>\n\n

Ten percent Pinot Noir and the result is a refined pale pink. Soligo Prosecco is made using the tank fermentation method. During fermentation, the wine’s temperature is kept low and fermentation slow, so that the wine’s maximum fruitiness is preserved. Soligo Prosecco Treviso Ros\u00e9 is a stylish and trendy choice as an aperitif. <\/p>\n\n
