Niki originally started at Norex as a Sales and Marketing Coordinator, creating advertisements among other things. As the Norex family grew, Niki grew with it into new roles. “The job description has evolved strongly alongside the company, because as Norex moves forward and changes, tasks have been prioritized according to what needs have arisen,” Niki says.
Today, this chameleon is responsible for the company’s HR side. Niki’s daily work includes many development projects and the coordination, development, and implementation of various systems. She handles the entire employment lifecycle, from contracts to payroll coordination.
The family invests in each other
“At the moment, my working hours are largely filled with inductions and training, which Norex places a special emphasis on,” Niki explains. In her opinion, looking after the staff is the lifeblood of the company, as the warmth of a family business can be seen and felt. “We have opportunities to influence our own work as well as our collective efforts. Your own ideas are always supported and welcomed with joy.”
As an HR professional, Niki sees matters related to staff well-being as an important strategic factor. “Norex’s good team spirit and people-centered mindset result in committed and motivated staff. I believe the passion those working here have for their own work, and the desire to do things really well, is also visible to our customers.”
In addition to well-executed work, the company culture also increases personal well-being. “Long careers in a smaller family business like this also make it possible to get to know colleagues beneath the surface.” Niki knows, for instance, that there are true cocktail masters among her colleagues in the sales team. Colleagues occasionally get to taste the new recipes they conjure up.
In a house like Norex, wines are an eternal topic of conversation. “From the world of wines, my favorites are sparkling wines, especially the Moscato grape,” Niki says. She names the Italian Tosti Asti Dolce, which comes from the 200-year-old Tosti family business, as her favorite wine. “It’s a reliable choice if glasses of bubbly are needed for an evening get-together,” she suggests.
