Les Vignerons de Montagnac Domitienne is one of the historically significant winegrowers’ cooperatives in the Hérault department; the Montagnac cooperative was founded in 1937. It has long been a key player in Hérault winegrowing, within Languedoc, one of France’s largest wine regions. The cooperative has merged with several local wine cooperatives, including those of Usclas-d’Hérault, Tourbes, and Loupian, and most recently Terroirs de la Voie Domitienne, itself born from the merger of seven cooperatives (Poussan, Gigean, Cournonsec, Fabrègues, Montbazin, Balaruc, and St-Bauzille-de-Putois). Thanks to the diversity of its terroirs and the high standards of its two continually modernized winemaking facilities, located in Montagnac and Cournonsec near Montpellier, the cooperative is now a major player in the industry.
