Description

Bardos wines are produced in the roughest and coldest part of Ribera del Duero, between the villages of Fuentemolinos and Moradillo de Roa. The vineyards have to endure very dry summers and endless winters, but the wines are impressive. To become big, the wine has to suffer. The character of this meaty wine is determined by the old vine Tinta del Pais (Tempranillo) and its elegance is complemented by the low-yielding Cabernet Sauvignon. Maceration and fermentation occurred at 28 ºC during 4 weeks. Malolactic fermentation in new French oak casks, including 16 months of maturation.
