Description

B Nat is Barth’s version of Pétillant Naturel, the naturally petillant wine, in brief Pét Nat, which is one of the newest phenomena in the wine world, a real hype. The wine is based on Cabernet Sauvignon Rosé, closed with a crown cap while still fermenting in a sparkling wine bottle. The carbon dioxide produced by fermentation dissolves in the wine as carbonic acid and causes the wine to sparkle. The wine is unfiltered and the cork is not changed, which makes this initial form of sparkling wine cloudy. There is no added sugar in the wine, which usually happens for sparkling wines in connection with a cork change, hence, it is Brut Nature.
