Description

We wanted to make a personalised Rose Riesling, where Riesling’s acids would taste clearer and Pinot’s berryiness would be more pronounced. Norex’s wine team, together with Thorsten Mehrelin, produced Pink Riesling from Rheingaun Riesling and Pinot Noir grapes from Weinhof 519 vineyards. A splash of water had to be added to the wine, because the German Wine Act does not allow rose to be made from Riesling, therefore, the wine is aromatised with water.
