In 2023, we set ourselves an ambitious goal: to develop our operations to be even more responsible and advance sustainable development through concrete actions. The first step was to determine where we actually stand – and that is where the journey began.
Through these measures, we now have a strong foundation to build upon.
Goals for the coming years are currently under development. They will focus on themes including:
This page is evolving – just like our sustainability work. New goals will be published immediately after decisions are made, and with them, we will take the next step toward a more sustainable Norex.
During 2025, we will develop our own substance abuse program for Norex. It is an important part of a responsible workplace – the program supports early intervention, enhances employee well-being, and helps the company fulfill its responsibility toward its employees.
Our goal is that by 2030, sustainability metrics data will have been collected from all our wine and spirits producers – and updated annually as part of an established process.
The wine producer metrics have already been published and the first data collections are underway. For spirits principals, we are building our own questionnaire battery to obtain corresponding data from them as well.
Our goal is to reduce the carbon footprint of packaging. During 2026, 92% of our wines (measured in liters) will be packaged in lightweight or environmentally friendly packaging, such as glass bottles under 420 g and bag-in-box.
Since bottle-aged wines cannot currently be packaged in lightweight glass bottles, the target cannot be 100%.
