Nicolas Feuillatte wins multiple awards at Decanter World Wine Awards 2021

Nicolas Feuillatte champagnes have won multiple awards at the Decanter World Wine Awards 2021 competition. Norex congratulates!

Decanter World Wine Awards is the world’s largest and most prestigious wine competition, held for the eighteenth time this year. Nicolas Feuillatte champagnes have also been successful in the competition previously.

Nicolas Feuillatte is number one in the French market, third largest in the world and fourth largest in the United States. The giant champagne cooperative Centre Vinicole – Champagne Nicolas Feuillatte (CV-CNF) includes 5,000 growers whose grapes are harvested from over 2,100 hectares. The house’s champagne range is extensive and multi-tiered. La Revue de Vin de France selected Feuillatte as winemaking team of the year in 2020.

This year’s Decanter World Wine Awards featured over 18,000 wines from 56 different countries. They were judged during June by 170 wine experts.

Awards were granted to the following champagnes:

Réserve Exclusive Brut (Silver)

Réserve Exclusive beautifully captures Feuillatte’s current style with its lightness, liveliness and freshness. This iconic champagne is the cornerstone of the entire range and showcases in a wonderful way what Champagne’s modern giant is capable of. Delicious drinkability, exceptional versatility and refined elegance make this champagne an excellent choice at any moment, time of day or day of the week.

Réserve Exclusive Rosé (Silver)

Réserve Exclusive Rosé is a deliciously nuanced champagne that simply overflows with summery, red fruit aromas. This champagne is created by adding 16% carefully selected red wine to the Réserve Exclusive blend, after which the champagne matures in the cellar for 2–3 years. The result is a tasty and versatile champagne to enjoy on its own, but especially with food from appetizers to dessert.

Grand Cru Millésime 2012 Blanc de Blancs (93 points)

Vintage 2012 Blanc de Blancs will leave those who taste it longing for more. The winter was truly cold, with February temperatures below -20°C and frost hitting the vineyards several times in April-May. Hot, sunny weather began in July and continued through the September harvest, ripening the grapes ideally. This year’s chardonnays are diverse, fresh and abundant. The blend is a brilliant combination of grapes from the best Grand Cru villages of Côte des Blancs. A gourmet’s dream.

Grand Cru Millésime 2010 Blanc de Noirs (Silver)

Characterful, intense aromas define the 2010 vintage, particularly for the Pinot Noir from Grand Cru villages from which this blend is made. The grapes from Verzy and Verzenay offer especially finesse and freshness in this sunny year, while Aÿ, Bouzy and Ambonnay provide structure and spiciness to this successful blend. A food wine for the connoisseur.
