Description
The grapes for B&G Réserve Pinot Noir are harvested on the island of Corsica, a respected wine-producing area, though relatively unknown to many. Few origin labels are as impressive as this wine’s IGP Ile de Beaute, which translates to ‘Island of Beauty.’ The island naturally has a Mediterranean climate, warm, windy, with plenty of sunlight, but the cool nights give the wine its acidity. The grape bunches are destemmed and macerated in very cold conditions for three days before fermentation, which is carried out by gradually raising the temperature and mixing the skins into the juice twice daily.
