Description
Gratavinum 2πr redefines Priorato wine. The wine from the village of Gratallops combines the special soil of the area with the expertise of Parès Baltá in the vineyard and cellar, giving birth to the wine, which is perfectly round. This is indicated by the geometry formula 2πr in the wine’s name, which allows you to calculate the length of the circumference of a circle. Grenache (68%), Carignan (27%) and Syrah (5%) grapes are aromatised in the cold for 7 days, after which they are fermented into wine in a chilled steel tank for two weeks. New and old 400 litre casks made of French and Hungarian oak have been used, for maturation.

1. Maatalous: biodynaaminen viljely, monimuotoisuuden lisääminen sekä uusia viinitarhoja sijoitetaan korkeammalle, jossa viileämpi mikroilmasto tasapainoittaa lämpötilan nousua. Näiden lisäksi käytetään enemmän paikallisia, kuivuutta kestäviä rypälelajikkeita, vähennetään kastelua, jotta säästetään pohjavesiä sekä hyödynnetään metsiä hiilinieluna.
2. Pakkaukset: kevyemmät pullot, joilla pienennetään hiilijalanjälkeä, käytetään kestävämpiä kapseleita sekä kierrätysmateriaaleja.
3. Tilat & logistiikka: led-valaistus ja tehokkaammat moottorit vähentävät virrankulutusta ja lisäävät energiatehokkuutta. Lisäksi käytössä on sähkö- ja hybridiautoja.
