Cluster Flock Sauvignon Blanc is a delicious aperitif and a perfect summer gathering wine. It pairs wonderfully with goat cheese, white meats, mussels, Asian cuisine, creamy pasta dishes, and seafood salads.

The nose bursts with aromas of nettles, blackcurrant leaves, freshly cut grass, lime, and gooseberries.

Flavor

The palate is dry, crisply acidic, intensely fruity, with notes of lime, passion fruit, and herbs. Finishes long and beautifully balanced.

Description

Sheep are to thank for this wine. A flock of unattended sheep wandered into the vineyard and ate half of the grapes. What could have been a disaster turned into a great success — the reduced yield resulted in a dense and flavorful wine. The juice, made from young vines growing in gravelly and silty soils and harvested mechanically, fermented in cooled stainless steel tanks and matured for a time on the lees. The result is a concentrated, refreshingly citrus-driven wine. A true classic in style — and immensely popular.
