Description
The vineyard is one of the most famous in the Kamptal region. The soil of the terraced vineyard on the slopes is a mixture of sandstone and volcanic soil. Thanks to its soil the Heiligenstein vineyard produces characterful wines. Peter Schweiger discards a large proportion of grapes and uses only the best and most ripe grapes for his wines. After gentle pressing and fermentation, some of the wine has been allowed to rest with the lees in temperature-controlled steel tanks and some in casks until the end of February. After that, the wine is blended and bottled in the middle of March.
