Fidora Prosecco
Among our proseccos, you’ll find the refined and versatile Fidora Prosecco (Tenuta Civranetta Prosecco). The Mediterranean climate and winds give this wine a delightful and refined aromatic character that makes it distinctly Italian. The second fermentation that creates the bubbles is done slowly in tanks over more than 8 weeks, ensuring persistent, fine bubbles. The wine is also suitable for a vegan diet.
Fidora Prosecco is made from biodynamic Glera grapes, and the wine is Demeter-certified at the product level. This vineyard has been on the Civranetta estate in the Veneto region since the 15th century, and it transitioned to organic production in 1974. The soil is characterized by “Caranto” strips—clay-silt deposits shaped by the Ice Age and flecked with limestone.
Fidora Prosecco is produced by Fidora Wines. The Fidora family has cultivated the Civranetta estate for nearly a century and believes that commitment, tenacity, and experience make their grapes special even before they reach the cellar. An early start means a lot to the family: they didn’t just take this up—they grew up with these values. Their wines reflect indigenous varieties, terroir, and local climate.
In 1974, Guido Fidora decided to transition to organic farming on the family estate. At that time, it wasn’t fashionable, and organic didn’t represent any added value to the consumer. Now in its fourth generation, biodiversity is the cornerstone of production.
