Donnachiara is a family-owned winery located in the hills of Montefalcione in the province of Avellino, Campania, Southern Italy. The company was founded in 2005, but the family has deep roots in viticulture: grapes have been grown on the same slopes for five generations. The name Donnachiara is a tribute to the family’s ancestor, Donna Chiara Mazzarelli Petitto, whose passion for wine and the land inspired the winery’s founding. Donnachiara is particularly known for Irpinia’s most prestigious DOCG wines: Fiano di Avellino, Greco di Tufo, and Taurasi are at its core. These wines reflect the region’s unique terroir – volcanic soils, high altitude, and significant temperature fluctuations, which together create elegant, long-lived wines. Additionally, the house produces traditional Aglianico and Falanghina wines, completing its diverse range.
