Description

Perhaps the best-known red wine style of Southern Italy, often compared to Piedmont’s Barolo for its elegance and longevity. Made from 100% Aglianico, Taurasi is one of the wines awarded Italy’s highest quality classification, DOCG. Vines grown in the clay‑limestone soils of Irpinia produce grapes with deep, mineral-driven aromas. The grapes are hand‑harvested in early October. The wine undergoes fermentation in stainless steel before being transferred to barrique barrels for maturation.
