Description

A classy wine for the party table, for those who want the best. Pairs well with the finest meat dishes, fillets and roasts. A good match for game, reindeer, beef and mutton with stylish toppings. It is also a wine enthusiast’s wine. LOTA was born in 2003 as a project of the Cousiño family’s desire to produce a world-class wine to celebrate the company’s 150th anniversary. LOTA grapes are harvested from the best vineyards, from cuttings that Don Luis Cousiño originally brought with him from France in the 1860s before the phylloxera got there. The Cabernet Sauvignon vines have been planted already in 1932. Frenchman Pascal Marty was chosen to lead the project, he has been creating famous wines such as Opus One and Almaviva. The grapes are carefully hand-picked. Lota matures for 15 months in small French oak casks.
