Ascaïr is a legend of a magnificent beast celebrated at the festivals of Tarascon. The creature has many faces drawn from Provençal folklore and the spirit of Côtes du Rhône. Ascaïr embodies that spirit: a mystery, a legend with many chapters—each expressed through the fruit of the vine, the Rhône that nourishes it, and the people who tell its tale.
