Wine Enthusiast: Trentino, Wine Region of the Year 2020

The prestigious Wine Enthusiast magazine awarded its 2020 Wine Star Awards. They selected Trentino in Northern Italy as Wine Region of the Year. Under the Trentino DOC classification, fresh still wines are produced from numerous grape varieties. White wines are dominated by Pinot Grigio and Chardonnay varieties, reds by Teroldego and Merlot. Under the Trento DOC classification, elegant sparkling wines are made using the traditional method.
