Full-bodied and balanced sushi wine

Segredos de São Miguel White

This wine’s four grape varieties, Verdelho, Antão Vaz, Fernão Pires, and Arinto, grew in soil interspersed with clay and schist. They were mechanically harvested at night when cool. The stems were completely removed, and the grapes were pneumatically pressed. The two-week fermentation at 15-18°C was preceded by eight hours of skin contact. The wine was aged in stainless steel tanks on lees.

The result is elegantly fruity, full-bodied, delightfully intense, long, and balanced.

This versatile dry white wine is at its finest with fish dishes and seafood delicacies. An elegant choice to accompany sushi and sashimi, for example.

Juicy and multidimensional pasta wine

Segredos de São Miguel Red

The grapes for Segredos de São Miguel Red—Aragonez, Trincadeira, Alicante Bouschet, and Touriga Nacional—grew in granitic soil and were mechanically harvested in the cool of night. The stems were removed and the grapes were pneumatically pressed. Fermentation in 21-25°C tanks was preceded by 48 hours of skin contact. Malolactic fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks, where oak staves imparted flavor and structure to the wine. 10% of the wine was aged in 400-liter barrels.

This multidimensional wine features juicy berry character and acidity. The long finish is completed by silky tannins.

Pairs beautifully with pasta dishes, white meat, poultry, and soft cheeses. This is also a perfect match for grilled fish.
