Silver for Tosti Prosecco at Decanter World Wine Awards 2021 and for ArtSpritz at Meininger’s International Spirits Award
Tosti Prosecco Extra Dry has won silver at Decanter World Wine Awards 2021. The same producer’s ArtSpritz aperitif, in turn, received silver at Meininger’s International Spirits Awards 2021. Norex congratulates the winners!
Decanter World Wine Awards is the world’s largest and most prestigious wine competition, held this year for the eighteenth time. This year, over 18,000 wines from 56 different countries participated, judged during June by 170 wine experts. Meininger’s International Spirits Awards is a competition organized by Meininger, a publisher specializing in beverage publications, held for 17 years in Neustadt, Germany. Experts taste and evaluate beverages annually from all over the world.
Tosti Prosecco Extra Dry is acidic and pear-like, as one would expect from the Glera grape. The aftertaste is clean and leaves the mouth refreshed. “Extra Dry” in the wine’s name easily brings to mind the idea of a very dry wine, but this prosecco contains well over 10 grams of sugar. However, the acids and sugar are in excellent balance, and they support the wine’s fruitiness. The relatively low alcohol content contributes to the lightness that makes this wine easily approachable.
ArtSpritz is a popular historic orange-herb aperitif in northeastern Italy. It is wine-based, low in alcohol, sweet, and distinctively orange-red. Thanks to its complex and refined flavor, it is an excellent ingredient for cocktails as well as for serving on its own with ice.
