ArtSpritz is Tosti’s refined interpretation of the famous aperitif

Many know Aperol Spritz, but have you discovered ArtSpritz yet? Like Aperol, ArtSpritz also stylishly represents the historic Italian tradition of orange-herb aperitifs, of which different producers have created their own interpretation.

ArtSpritz combines the present day with the whisper of history. The spritz aperitifs that have become hits here too are inherited from a long history in Northeast Italy. Spritz aperitifs are very popular there, and they have been known since the time of the Habsburg dynasty. Austrian soldiers at the time found Veneto wines too strong, so they ordered their wine diluted with water. The name “spritz” derives from the German word spritzen, which loosely translated means to spray. Typically spritz drinks are sparkling, but “smooth spritzs” diluted with still water are still known in Northeast Italy’s Trieste, Udine and Gorizia.

ArtSpritz is the vision of this fine orange aperitif from the 200-year-old Tosti family business located in Piedmont. Tosti’s winery is located in the hills of Canelli, and is still owned by the Bosca family. The Tosti family business is gradually transitioning to the care of the eighth generation.

Sweet ArtSpritz is vegan, and its flavor is full-bodied, orangey and bitter. It is easily recognized by its bright orange-red color, and it tastes fresh with herbs and spices, such as especially orange, china bark, vanilla and rhubarb. Each of them is extracted into the drink separately.

ArtSpritz’s refined flavor gives drinks many possibilities. It also comes with a good price-quality ratio. Low in alcohol (11%), ArtSpritz can be served as is with ice or made into, for example, a quick sparkling wine-lengthened drink. Spritz drinks are also available in milder (5.5%) ready-mixed drinks that are ready to serve immediately.
